FiftyFifteen Mariposa

Vacation Rental Home in the Sierras

FiftyFifteen Mariposa is located in downtown Mariposa just blocks from great restaurants, cocktail lounges, and wonderful shops. About four blocks away is the Art Park, with its pretty scenery and musical events on summer weekend evenings. Next to that is the Mariposa County Park featuring a large outdoor swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, and skateboard park. The Pioneer and Gold Rush Museum is also located close by.

The town of Mariposa is just an hour's drive from Yosemite National Park. Check out the various guided bus tours (including the moonlight valley tour!) inside the park here and if you're interested in hiking, check out the NPS trail guide here. Enjoy a whitewater rafting trip on the Merced River, take a ride on the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad, go boating on Bass Lake and so much more. There are even special resources for kids here! Visit the Mariposa County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center for information on current events in and around town.  We also recommend a visit to the History Museum near the YARTS Park & Ride stop.

NOTE: Not only is Mariposa just a few hours drive from major cities like San Francisco, Sacramento, Reno, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Fresno, and San Diego, but Merced is just 50 minutes away where, in addition to an Amtrak Rail Station that is served by Amtrak California's San Joaquin, which runs 6 times daily between Oakland or Sacramento and Bakersfield, it's also home to Merced Regional Airport which is served by Boutique Airlines.  Boutique has 3 flights daily direct from LAX or Oakland.

Do yourself a BIG favour and look into YARTS, the Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System. There's a Park and Ride about 10 blocks away. Let a new, comfy air-conditioned YARTS bus take you and your family into the park for just a few dollars. Let someone else do the driving, get there faster AND don't worry about trying to find parking! (Click HERE for their schedule) Once inside the park, use the shuttles to get around: MORE INFO
